dear sangat ji, i took amrit only afew months ago but afew days ago i wnet 4 a school trip overseas and i had specifically that i am a vegetarian when i asked that they told me i could eat the the vegetable dish but later when i took a bite i found a fish cake in it but i did not swallow it . the next day i found a small fish in my rice thus i did not eat . please tell me wat i should do .this could affect my amrit and rehat thank you please take this seriously
First and Formost DO ADRAAS asking for guruji to give you strength.. realize that this is only a test of strength.. what I usually like to do when Im goign anywhere is have an ipod filled with kirtan.. listen to that as much as u can so ull ahve mental strength as that is the MOST IMPORTANT thing in these situations
secondly ---- I am not sure whether you are a very communicative person.. but this is an issue you should discuss with your teachers.. usually in schools they ask before hand whether you are a vegetarian or not (well in canada anyways) This is a very stick situation for the school board .. if they know that u are a vegetarian but are still only serving meat options..(as this is a human rights violation) do they not have salads or anythign that you can eat??? are u not able to go somewhere else and grab food? remember.. where there is a will there is a way.. you must keep faith .. guruji always takes care of his childern :)
veer ji dis was a school cca trip and it was in the middle of a jungle thus there is no other place i could go to. now i don`t know i i have done any pap cause it was unjaan and now i am afraid i have broken my amrit have i done anything wrong
Generally it is important to check exactly what we are eating. Vegetarian to us may mean no animal products, however I know that some people and even some companies do not consider eggs and fish to be non-vegetarian.
So, some things that say 'vegetarian' DO include eggs and sometimes fish. Most products in supermarkets nowadays apart for the ingredients section also include an allergy section in which it should state if the product has egg etc. in it.
If you do eat out, make sure you specify that whatever you eat should not include meat, eggs or fish. Simply saying vegetarian is not always enough.
always specify "no meat, fish or eggs". never leave it at just "vegetarian" because in the western consciouness that encompasses fish and egg eaters. to be really safe, go "vegan" because this excludes ALL animal products, not only what you consume but also what you wear.
your intentions were good so don't be too hard on yourself. remember the importance to you for not consuming dead animal flesh is not going to be appreciated by any average joe bloggs. indeed some think it a sin to not eat dead flesh! so be very precise and firm.

Dear bhenjee, every Amritdhaaree's dad are Dhan Guru Gobind Singh Saaheb Jee aka Panj Pyaarey at the time of Amrit Sanchaar.
Please note 5 Pyaarey lose their individual identities (including their individual familes & whole entity as such) as long as they are in Amrit Sanchaar
& ALSO As soon as the Amrit Sanchaar is over, Panj Pyaarey lose their status of being 5 Pyaarey.
So, yes you can give your opinion but may not speak on behalf of 5 Pyaarey & even your dad (who might have been at innumerous Amrit Sanchaars in past & might be in future too) can not speak on behalf of them.
