i wuz wonderin is there such thing as amrit breaks?...many of my frenz down here in malaysia who r amritdharee's often says wen they accidently eat some meat their amrit breaks?....is there such thing...and i wuz been told in samelan dat we can acctualy pierce our ears...color our hair...n we can also eat meat if we take amrit...i wuz curios to noe is al dis true...or its just a way to pul people'z attention towards sikhism...

During the Amrit Sanchaar all instructions are given to the seeker on how to live according to Guru Sahibs hukams these include the 4 bujjar kurehits :-1.We must not cut our hair 2.We must not commit adultery 3. We cannot eat meat 4.We cannot partake any intoxicants(alcohol,drugs). Any sikh who commits one of these does not remain a sikh and must present himself before the Panj Pyare to be forgiven and carry out the given punishment.

To me the rehat is dear not the sikh

Guru Sahib’s hukams are for all with no exceptions, all hair on the body must remain as it is, we must not colour it or interfere with it in any other way – when Guru Sahib’s blessings come then…

We are also not allowed to interfere with our body ie.ear piercing as this against Gurmat , the only jewellery a Gursikh needs are the 5 Kakkaars are these are the true gifts from our Father.
We are given this birth to meet Guru Jee and for this we must engrain Guru Jees matt and living according to all the hukams given, only then we have a true chance.
